This is harder on me than I think our families imagine. I really wish things could be OK but they never will be. Tim is not the same person I fell in love with. He isn't the same person I thought would be my husband. He isn't the same person who would be the father in Sophie's life. I should try harder to make myself believe these things. That way I won't feel guilty about abandoning him (which I didn't do). I don't want to be angry. I don't think I'm angry anyway. Disappointed? Definitely. Sad? Always. Hanging on to the hopeless? Perhaps. Keeping my emotions in and distracting myself from thinking about anything lest my heart breaks and I can't stop crying? That's a given...
